Corporate Overview

CHIP Hospitality is one of Canada’s leading hotel management companies and currently manages more than 30 hotels and resorts in Canada with more than 7,000 rooms. The company is wholly owned by bcIMC (British Columbia Investment Management Corporation).

CHIP Hospitality uses management strategies, upgrades, repositioning and franchising to improve the operating performance of the properties in its portfolio to create value for its owners. CHIP Hospitality has strong relations and buying power with many of the major hotel franchisers in Canada.

The company manages a portfolio of independent hotels and hotels operating under major franchise brands including Delta Hotels, Crowne Plaza, Radisson, Residence Inn by Marriott, Holiday Inn, Hilton, Quality, Gouverneur, Best Western, Ramada and Coast properties.

  • CHIP Hospitality currently manages over 30 properties across Canada with a total of more than 7,000 rooms, 50 food and beverage outlets and more than 6,000 employees.


  • With licenses for 12 different brand franchises, CHIP has built relationships with almost all the major hotel franchisers. CHIP Hospitality has franchise agreements with leading hotel brands including the Crowne Plaza, Marriott, Radisson, Delta, Hilton, Ramada, Quality, Best Western and Holiday Inn.


  • In the next five years, CHIP is poised for strategic acquisitions in growing urban centers throughout Canada.


  • CHIP Hospitality demonstrates its commitment to the community through its “Hotels With Heart” initiatives. All its Canadian properties are active community supporters through the Friends in Need program to help the local charities, a scholarship program for Aboriginal students and by sponsoring the Canadian Extreme Kindness Tour to connect the world through kindness.
