New Regional Director of Sales & Marketing for CHIP Hospitality’s Ontario
Hotel Region
OTTAWA, ON (November 30, 2007) – CHIP Hospitality is pleased to announce the appointment of
Ursula Belanger as the new Regional Director of Sales & Marketing for CHIP Hospitality’s Ontario
group of hotels, based out of the Crowne Plaza Ottawa.
Ms. Belanger brings with her more than 25 years of sales and marketing management experience,
most recently as the Director of Sales and Marketing at the Ottawa Congress Centre. Her previous
work experience includes work with national and international tourism and hospitality industries,
such as the New York Waldorf Astoria Hotel, the Steigenberger Hotel group in Germany and the Hilton
Hotel in Munich. Throughout her career she has achieved outstanding accomplishments, including
serving on the Board of a teenage runaway program, “Operation Go Home”, the founding of a profitable
joint venture with European partners and recognition as the 1998 Ottawa Tourism Member of the
Year.

Ms. Belanger’s educational background includes Bachelor and Graduate degrees in Hotel Administration,
from the Hotel School Bonn, Germany and a Hotel Marketing and Sales certificate from Cornell University.
She continues to develop her skills through various business management courses and is also incredibly
active in the Ottawa community. Ms. Belanger is currently serving as the President of the Women’s
Business Network, was a part time instructor at Algonquin College and is a member of Meeting Planners
International and the Professional Convention Management Association.
