CHIP Hospitality Announces New Gm For Saskatoon Inn Hotel & Conference
Centre
VANCOUVER (October 1, 2007) – CHIP Hospitality is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul
Harrigan as the General Manager (GM) of Saskatoon Inn Hotel & Conference Centre as of August 20th,
2007.
Mr. Harrigan joins Saskatoon Inn Hotel & Conference Centre with a long standing track record of
over 18 years of hospitality experience and 8 years of general manager’s experience. His background
reflects his belief in service excellence and includes experience with Westin Hotels and Radisson
Hotels.
Throughout the course of six years beginning in 1989, Mr. Harrigan served in various management
positions at three Westin Hotels with a strong focus on the Service Express program and daily
operations management.
As the Executive Assistant Manager from 1995 to 1998, Mr. Harrigan assisted in managing a successful
operation at the Radisson Suite Hotel in Halifax. Under his guidance, the hotel was recognized
for performance excellence and awarded the “Presidents Choice Award” for outstanding guest service
delivery and the “100% Advocate Award,” signifying guest loyalty.
In 1998, Mr. Harrigan began his career in general management and accepted the role as GM of The
Riverside Golf and Country Club, Saint John, where he led his team to revenue growth and achieved
an overall approval rating of over 90% for his role as GM.
In 2000, Mr. Harrigan began a six year term as the Resort GM at Fox Harb’r Resort & Development
Ltd. He spearheaded the grand opening of Fox Harb’r Resort & Spa, a Five-Star resort which has
since been recognized as one of the ”Top 50 Resorts in the World” by Resorts and Great Hotels.
In 2006, Mr. Harrigan moved into the role of Senior Manager Resort Operations at Humber Valley
Resort and applied his capital management expertise to the grand openings of the River Course
golf course and the AVEDA Concept Spa. There he developed and led a team of seven department heads
with a passionate focus on guest satisfaction, employee development and financial return.
Mr. Harrigan holds a Diploma in Accommodation, Food & Beverage and Hotel Management program at
Community College of St. Andrews and is an active member of the Canadian Society of Club Managers.
