CHIP Hospitality Announces New Director of Sales for Best Western Charlottetown

CHARLOTTETOWN (October 1, 2007) -- – CHIP Hospitality is pleased to announce the appointment of Brodie Coffin as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Best Western Charlottetown Hotel, effective September 11th, 2007.

Mr. Coffin began his career as a professional hockey player and played in the East and West Coast Hockey leagues. During this time he was appointed spokesperson for player public relations. Since then, he has worked with the Charlottetown Chamber of Commerce, the Marketing Department of Holland College as well as Fresh Media, a progressive media design company in Charlottetown.

Brodie has graduated from the University of PEI with a Bachelor of Business in Tourism and Hospitality Degree and from Holland College, with a Marketing and Advertising Management Diploma. As a volunteer, Brodie has dedicated time to the PEI Arthritis Society, Fresno Special Olympics, the Charlottetown Abbies Hockey Club and Belvedere Golf Course.

This is an exciting time for the Best Western Charlottetown as a 2 million dollar room upgrade has been announced to commence in early 2008. The renovations will be focused on the bedrooms and suites as well as becoming a 100% smoke free hotel.
