History

Prior to March 1999, under another company name, CHIP Hospitality's team primarily managed only third party owned hotels including those of CHIP REIT. In March 1999, the hotel management function was internalized as 36 management contracts were bought out by CHIP REIT. The REIT created CHIP Hospitality to manage it's assets and those of other third party owners. CHIP Hospitality's portfolio is a good representation of the Canadian hotel industry and the company continues to outperform the industry in RevPAR growth.

In December 2007, CHIP Hospitality became a subsidiary of bcIMC.

Over the past 9 years, CHIP has demonstrated it is one of Canada's top performing hotel management companies.
